At times, despite numerous improvements in dental health care, most people experience tooth loss, gingivitis, gum disease or injury. In the early days, the only treatment options for people with missing teeth were dentures or bridges. Today, with rapid advancements in the field of dentistry, hi-end dental implants are available. However, such procedures must only be carried out by a professional dentist. At TEATREE Healthcare’s Dentistry Centre, we understand the importance of dental health and therefore, provide you with world-class dental services.

What are Dental Implants?
Dental Implants are a popular and an effective way to replace missing teeth. They are ideally metal frames or posts that are surgically positioned into the jawbone, under the gums. Once fixed, they help in allowing the dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them. Designed in a way that they blend in well with the other teeth, dental implants have proved to be an excellent option for the long run.

There are two types of dental implants. They are:

Endosteal: These are surgically implanted into the jawbone. Once the surrounding gum tissues heal, a second surgery is needed that helps connect a post to the first implant. Finally, an artificial tooth is attached to the post or grouped on a denture or bridge.

Subperiosteal: These consist of a metal frame that is fitted onto the jawbone, beneath the gum tissue. As the gum heals, the frame gets fixed to the jawbone, and the posts that are attached to the frame protrude through the gum. Finally, the artificial teeth are mounted to the posts.

The duration of the dental implant procedure can vary as it depends on the number of implants you are having and the complication of the procedure. It is possible to have many implants fitted during the same procedure. However, it will take much longer. If you are having just one implant fitted, the duration of the process will be much lesser.

At TEATREE Healthcare, we understand the importance of dental health and therefore, offer you dental implants treatment. This also includes an extensive consultation with a specialised dentist who can help your overall dental health
